The new Municipal range features a low profile body and diffuser, meeting the stringent requirements of educational establishments and healthcare applications. This luminaire is fitted as standard with high frequency ballast for improved energy efficiency, flicker free operation and instant start.

Application

Ideal for circulation areas in hospitals, colleges and other similar institutions.

Specification

Wipe clean Smooth Diffuser (internally reeded).

Removable gear tray.

Screw fixed polycarbonate endcaps ensure protection from unauthorised tampering.

High frequency control gear.

Fused terminal block.

Finished in the Fitzgerald patent Pearl Rezi-Tex coating. This attractive Pearl White colour provides a high quality appearance and a scratch resistant textured finish which ensures maximum protection during handling and installation.

Variations

Nightlight options include 7 watt PL lamp, suffix /NL, and white LED cluster, suffix/NLL (additional Body length + 85mm).

Emergency variations available, see page 5.53.

Corner Mounting Kit for asymmetric distribution.

Occupancy Sensor option available.

Occupancy Sensor - (/OS)

MICRO-WAVE SENSOR AND PHOTO-CELL.

Switches on automatically when occupancy is detected and the ambient light-level is below a threshold level and off again when no further occupancy is detected.

Manual over-ride is available with a hand-held remote control (E016452) or a conventional switch.

Manual over-ride does not isolate the fitting, so operation via the sensor will be resumed when the area has been vacated.

The micro-wave sensor has a number of unique advantages over traditional passive infra-red sensors.

• It is mounted behind the diffuser and therefore does not compromise luminaire appearance, IP rating or vandal resistance.

• A larger detection zone than a PIR sensor. Ideally suited for use in larger areas such as corridors.

• Wide detection area allows wiring for two-way master/slave operation. e.g. a corridor could have a fitting complete with a sensor at each end and all the intervening fittings are wired so that if either sensor should detect movement the entire corridor will be lit.
