Intulight Fire Boxes

A high-density mineral and glass fibre cloth constructed fire-box, designed to be installed over recessed modular luminaires, to provide a non-combustible fire barrier. This product has been fully tested by Warrington Fire Research Establishment.

Used to provide a fire-seal around a recessed luminaire where the luminaire breaks the integrity of the Fire Rated suspended ceiling.

If left without a fire box, this break can create a path for fire to exploit and lead to the fire spreading unseen and unchecked around the building, contrary to UK Building Regulations and approved document B (B3 section 9.1).

Product supplied flat-packed to save on site storage space.

Intulight has a 2 hour fire integrity, Class 0 fire propagation, class 1 spread of flame and complies to BS476 Part 20:1987.

Install Intulights to prevent fire breaking through luminaires in fire-rated suspended ceilings where required to maintain 1/2, 1 or 2 hour fire resistance.
