A comprehensive package of modular wiring that can be ordered with lighting and marshalling boxes. We will design a complete installation, telling you exactly what has to be ordered. Increasingly, modular wiring is being used to increase speed of installation, reduce the possibility of wiring errors being made on-site and reduce the amount of skilled labour required. All Fitzgerald fluorescent fittings (linear and compact) can be supplied pre-wired for installation with modular wiring. The modular wiring can be assembled in two ways, either with "T" pieces and extender leads, or with flying leads. With "T" pieces and extender leads To order fluorescent luminaires with "T" pieces, please quote the luminaire code with suffix/T. Our factory will assemble the luminaire with a Wieland GST18 type 4-pole T piece or a Wieland GST18 type 6-pole (black and grey) T piece, depending on the type of control gear being used (4-pole for non-dimmable gear, 6-pole for dimmable gear). code .../T = Luminaire with non-dimmable gear Luminaire code .../SD/T = Luminaire with dimmable gear, wired for switch-dim operation and with 6-pole T Luminaire code .../DTD/T = Luminaire with dimmable gear, wired for DSI operation and with 6-pole T Individual luminaires can then be connected together using 4-pole or 6-pole extender leads, as appropriate. These are available in 3, 4 and 5m lengths. All Exodus marshalling boxes are designed for 6-pole wiring. Therefore, if the luminaires ordered are a non-dimming type (and therefore have a 4-pole T) and are to be used with Exodus marshalling boxes it will be necessary to order one 4-pole to 6-pole interface lead for each lighting circuit, as per the diagram below.

To order fluorescent luminaires with flying leads, please quote the luminaire code with suffix.../PCT and the required lead length, as per the diagram. Our factory will assemble the luminaire with the appropriate length of flex and a Wieland GST18 type 6-pole (black and grey) male connector ready to be plugged directly into the Exodus Marshalling Box. Eg: Luminaire code.../PCT3 = Luminaire with non-dimmable control gear and 3m flying lead with 6-pole connector. Luminaire code.../SD/PCT4 = Luminaire with Switch-dim control gear and 4m flying lead with 6-pole connector.
