Conference Suite diag

Advanced lighting controls for high specification projects such as conference suites, boardrooms and executive offices where flexibility and energy saving need to be combined with scene-setting and end-user comfort.

In many situations there is a requirement for a mixture of lighting control for effect and lighting control for flexibility and economy. For example, a conference suite or lecture theatre will typically require both scene setting (for effect) and presence or absence detection (for economy), so lights are switched off if a room is vacated.

In other situations, such as restaurants, museums and art galleries the requirement may be for scene setting only.

The example above shows how Exodus Controls products could be used in a high specification office setting, with two offices, a meeting room and an interconnecting corridor.

Applications

CHURCHES

The digital marshalling box is widely used in churches for two reasons.

First, it is a very flexible and cost effective means of providing scene-setting, and it can be used with almost any lamp type, from fluorescent and mains incandescent sources to LV lighting and LEDs.

Second, it removes the need for wired controls, so scenes can be recalled from almost any position in the church without control wires having to be installed first.

Below are some examples of where Exodus wire-free controls could be used. Refer to the diagram above.

E01660

MARSHALLING BOX, DIGITAL
Fully addressable and with massive flexibility. Its 9 ports can be configured into anything from 1-9 lighting groups. It can accommodate both scene-setting and all the normal control functions of absence/ presence detection, maintained light levels, flexible corridor linking etc. The DMB can be controlled with any combination of wired or wire-free switches, making for great flexibility and ease of installation. All fittings used with the Digital marshalling box must be equipped for dimming with a DSI control signal.

E016021

SWITCH, 1 GANG PUSH-BUTTON WHITE PLASTIC RF
This communicates with the digital marshalling box using Rf, so the switch can be placed anywhere (even on glass partitions) and moved at anytime. Because the whole system is fully addressable one switch can be used to switch anything from one lighting-group, to a number of lighting groups in different parts of a building.

E016471

SENSOR, 12V PIR & PE CELL DIMMING
PIR occupancy sensor with photocell, complete with 3m lead for plugging directly to the digital marshalling box. The sensor communicates with the Digital marshalling box causing it to adjust the appropriate lighting groups accordingly.

E016309

SCENE RECALLER
At the touch of a button this unit will recall a scene, causing a number of different lighting groups to change to a pre-set level. Ideal for board rooms as well as lecture theatres and restaurants.

LUMINAIRE CODE.../DTD

LIGHTING WITH DSI CONTROL GEAR
All lighting used with the Digital Marshalling Box must be wired for dimming with a DSI control signal. To order, add .../DTD to the order code of the luminaires.

MODULAR WIRING

To save time and eliminate on-site errors, luminaires and sensors can all be be plugged directly into the marshalling box. See page 0.7 and 0.8 for details of how to order.
